Fire Incidents

There is a bush fire burning between Oyster Cove and Medowie, approximately 25km north east of Newcastle. The fire is currently 408 hectares in size and has been contained.

The fire is burning south of Nerong in the **Myall Lakes National Park** area, to the east of the Pacific Highway and west of the Myall River. The fire is burning in a southerly direction towards **Tea Gardens** and is approximately 1.5km north of **Monkey Jacket Creek**. If you are in the **Monkey Jacket** area leave now if not prepared, towards Karuah via Viney Creek Road.
